We were pretending to be Monet, and here is a picture of Ry with her masterpiece (and an equivalent amount of blue chalk on her face) in front of the creek she was drawing (while Jx was splashing in said creek). This all sprung forth from a conversation with Riley after she brought home a picture that she'd colored at preschool....
me: "I like your picture, Ry, is this Picasso?"
Ry: "Picasso, yes. But he's not my favorite."
me: "oookay, who's your favorite?"
Ry: "Matisse"
Matisse? You've got to be kidding me. I had no clue who Matisse was in Jr high (apologies to Mr. Mackenzie, my art teacher), much less in preschool!
