We're venturing into the potty training arena with Jackson. I've come to the conclusion too late that little boys should never ever (really, maybe NEVER, not even grown ups handle this knowledge well...) be allowed to know that they could possibly pee while standing. This concept has proven far too alluring for Jackson to resist. (He witnessed this amazing feat while we were having Easter Brunch with a family who has a 4 year old boy). Hence, he spends at least an hour each day standing on a step stool in front of the potty waiting for his kidneys to eeke out a couple more drops of urine so he can try to propel them into the toilet. He's rarely successful at hitting the intended target, and we usually have to carry him kicking and screamining from the bathroom several times a day. He also likes to grab hold of either side of the toilet rim and kick his legs up in the air while yellon “Yee-Haw! Yee-Haw!” I think this is from gymnastics, and he’s really meaning to say “HEE-HAW”, but it’s funny. He's still firmly entrenched in diapers, though. We're just not energetic enough to put him in training pants (unless they're on his head - see above. Hey, at least I posted the one with his bits covered!)
